What is possible, what is reasonable, what is best?

Just in case you haven’t seen it yet, here is the fascinating panel discussion on end of life issues from last March’s smaccGOLD conference. We are featuring it here because it features our own Steve Philpot, Intensivist at The Alfred ICU and Hospital Medical Director for organ and tissue donation. The discussion will resonate with everyone working in intensive care, and we can all learn from it.

Other intensivists from The Alfred ICU who took part in smaccGOLD include Deirdre Murphy, Steve McGloughlin, Irma Bilgrami, Josh Ihle, David Pilcher and Steve Bernard. Look out for all their talks as they are released on the SMACC podcast on iTunes.
